MILLER RESEARCH GROUP
We are a group of organic chemists and chemical biologists focused on biomolecule synthesis.
We are interested in making chemical tools for glycoscience and exploring new structural motifs within nucleos(t)ides and nucleic acids.
Our Research
Our research focuses on the chemical and chemoenzymatic synthesis of ‘sugars’, including developing automated and flow-based technologies.
Example compound target classes: oligosaccharides, nucleoside & nucleotide analogues, sugar nucleotides, glycosyl phosphates and glycolipids.
OUR PUBLICATIONS
Read our recent research papers.
OUR FACILITIES
We are based in the Manchester Institute of Biotechnology at the University of Manchester.
MILLER RESEARCH GROUP
The group’s research involves the chemical and chemoenzymatic synthesis of a range of biomolecules.
This is undertaken to create new tools for chemical biology and for the exploration of new motifs in medicinal chemistry.
We are also interested in the growing requirement of such molecules within bioprocesses and linking with sustainable synthesis.
