ORGANIC CHEMISTS FOCUSED ON CARBOHYDRATE SYNTHESIS

Miller Research Group - About Us

MILLER RESEARCH GROUP

We are a group of organic chemists focused on carbohydrate synthesis. We are interested in making chemical tools for glycobiology, glyco-based biomaterials and carbohydrates in medicinal chemistry.

Miller Research Group - Our Research

Our Research

Our research focuses on the chemical and chemoenzymatic synthesis of carbohydrates, including: oligosaccharides, sugar nucleotides, glycosyl phosphates, nucleoside analogues and glycolipids.

MILLER RESEARCH GROUP

We are a group of organic chemists focused on carbohydrate synthesis. We are interested in making chemical tools for glycobiology, glyco-based biomaterials and carbohydrates in medicinal chemistry.

The group’s research involves the chemical and chemoenzymatic synthesis of carbohydrates. This is undertaken to create new chemical tools to explore glycobiological function and for the application of non-native carbohydrate structures in medicinal chemistry.

We are also interested in the growing requirement of carbohydrates as biomaterials, especially towards understanding polysaccharide structure-to-function relationships.
